Krabi is where jungle-covered cliffs meet shallow emerald seas. It feels more laid-back than Phuket but still has everything you need: island tours, cafés, bars, street food and a wide range of stays, from hostels to luxe pool villas.
From Ao Nang’s lively seafront and Railay’s world-famous cliffs to Hong Island’s lagoon and the 4 Islands’ sandbars, you’ll find a different postcard view every day. Inland, Krabi offers hot springs, emerald pools, rainforest trails and hilltop temples with sweeping panoramas.
Accessible only by boat, Railay is framed by dramatic limestone cliffs, soft sand and turquoise water – ideal for swimming, kayaking and legendary rock climbing. Phra Nang Cave Beach adds caves, viewpoints and sunset photo spots.
Ao Nang is Krabi’s main tourist hub with a long promenade, cafés, bars and easy long-tail access to nearby islands. Next-door Noppharat Thara offers a more relaxed vibe and is part of a national park.
A quiet island with aquamarine water, white sand, a peaceful lagoon and a short viewpoint hike. Great for snorkeling, swimming and photos without the crowds of larger islands.
Classic Krabi day trip by long-tail boat visiting sandbars, snorkel spots and limestone islets – often marketed as the “4 Islands Tour” from Ao Nang.
A hilltop temple reached via 1,200+ steps, offering panoramic views over Krabi’s forests and limestone landscape, plus a cave shrine and meditation areas.
A natural crystal-clear pool in Thung Teao Forest Natural Park, perfect for a refreshing swim in a jungle setting; often combined with Blue Pool on guided tours.
Thermal mineral streams flowing through smooth rock basins like natural jacuzzis – ideal for a relaxing soak paired with the Emerald Pool.
A responsible sanctuary where you can feed, walk with and learn about rescued elephants without riding, often rated highly on visitor reviews.
A rewarding hike with panoramic views over Krabi’s coastline and islands – ideal for sunrise or early-morning treks to avoid the heat.
Take a speedboat from Krabi to the famous Phi Phi archipelago for towering cliffs, snorkeling and iconic bays and viewpoints.
Use these as your main tour categories or hero products with The Thai Tourism:
When you book with The Thai Tourism, you get:
We help you go from airport to hotel to island with clear instructions, meeting point maps and honest, transparent pricing.
Krabi is very family-friendly if you pace your days:
Choose shorter tours, pack snacks and sun protection, and consider private transfers so little ones can nap between activities.
For active travellers, Krabi is an outdoor playground:
Krabi’s charm is more nature-focused, but there are meaningful cultural stops:
Pair a culture morning with a relaxed afternoon on the beach or at a café in Ao Nang.
The most popular time is November to March, when the weather is generally dry, sunny and less humid – ideal for beaches and boat trips. April is hotter but festive due to Songkran, and May–October brings more rain but fewer crowds and lower prices.
A 3–4 day stay is enough for Ao Nang/Railay plus one major island tour. If you want to include Hong, 4 Islands, Emerald Pool, Hot Springs and Tiger Cave Temple, plan 5–7 days.
They’re different:
Yes. Ao Nang, Railay West and Hong/4 Islands are all family-friendly, with shallow waters and plenty of easy tours. Just choose shorter boat rides, pack sun protection and schedule downtime at the pool.
Swimming is usually great during the dry season. In the monsoon months, seas can be rough and red flags may be raised on some days – always follow lifeguard guidance and your tour operator’s advice.
In high season, it’s wise to pre-book popular tours (Hong, 4 Islands, Phi Phi, Emerald Pool & Hot Springs) to avoid sold-out dates and to secure hotel pickup times that suit you.
Generally yes. Use normal precautions: keep valuables secure, avoid walking alone on empty beaches late at night, and book tours with reputable operators.
You can take a shared minivan, taxi or pre-book a private transfer with The Thai Tourism. For Railay, your transfer typically ends at the pier, then you continue by long-tail boat.
